The Coleridge Adult Training Program helps individuals develop skills in the areas of daily living, communication, physical fitness, environmental interaction and community integration. Training is provided in the following workshops:
Tactile training – participants enhance their fine motor skills through touching different objects and various textures.
Arts and crafts – participants develop and enhance their creative skills by creating various arts and crafts projects, such as candle dipping, and paper mache.
Baking – participants learn how to prepare and bake simple recipes, and learn domestic skills.
Maintenance – participants learn about general cleaning, develop safety skills and complete light carpentry projects.
Woodshop – participants learn about basic wood working, general art, and maintenance.
Basic Work Skills – participants develop domestic skills through folding and sorting materials, and general cleaning.
Weaving – participants learn to use weaving looms, and prepare hand-made projects that include sewing various materials and fabrics to create place mats, rugs and quilts.
