Client and Family Support Program
The purpose of the Client and Family Support Program is to reduce family stress by assisting clients and families in finding and connecting with helpful resources within themselves, their homes, and their communities; thereby allowing persons with developmental disabilities to reach their highest potential in the least restrictive environment.
The Client and Family Support Program provides bilingual (Spanish/English) education, training, and advocacy services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The program helps connect families with treatment services in order to maintain health, decrease isolation and stress, and addresses issues of accessibility and use of community resources. The program facilitates families that have Department of Human Servies funding for the Family Assistance Program and Home-Based Support Services Program. The program fosters emotional growth and development for all family members. Staff members structure services to meet specific needs.
The Client and Family Support Program houses a parent reference library and resource center which can be reached directly at (312) 432-0770. The program also facilitates families that have Department of Human Services funding for the Family Assistance Program and Home-Based Support Program.
Target Areas
CFSP targets individuals with developmental disabilities who live at home in central Chicago.

CFSP serves individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities and their caregivers.
